Huaqi Privacy Policy

## The app
Huaqi helps you choose plants for a spot and observe changes. The first release is free. It runs locally without accounts, advertising, cloud sync, image identification or AI services.
## Records on your device
Spots and environment profiles, candidate decisions, individual plants and nicknames, placement trials, observations, care tasks, reviews, language, units and reminder settings are stored in the app’s local storage.
Photos you select are copied into the app for your observations. Huaqi does not upload, identify or analyse them. Removing a plant removes its records and the app’s photo copies after the record change is saved. If cleanup fails, the app retains a local cleanup task and retries later. Photos still used by another record are kept. Originals in your system photo library are not deleted.
## Permissions
Notifications are requested only when you enable reminders. They provide care, placement check-in and follow-up prompts. The system photo picker provides only the photos you select; the app does not scan your library. If you decline either permission, you can still use plant guides, spot recommendations, basic help and observations without photos.
## Data transfer
Huaqi does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, remote images or account services. Apple may provide aggregate store reports to the developer; the app does not use these to identify you. Purchases and subscriptions are not offered. Legacy purchase fields in older local files are retained only for compatibility.
Export and sharing happen only when you initiate them and confirm a destination in the system share sheet. That destination handles the shared data under its own terms.
## Export, removal and recovery
You can export records as JSON, without photo files or internal cleanup queues. Automatic import is not supported. Save original photos separately before deleting the app. You can remove individual plants or uninstall to remove the app’s local storage.
A previous readable snapshot is retained for recovery; recovery may restore an earlier version of your records. Damaged source files may also be retained locally for recovery. Device backups are controlled by iOS or Android settings and may contain app data. They are not Huaqi cloud sync. Uninstalling does not delete your exports, system backups or original photos.

Only when you choose to email support, the developer and email provider process your email address, message and attachments to respond and follow up. Avoid sending unnecessary personal information or a full record export. Support messages are retained for resolving the issue and reasonable follow-up. You can request deletion at the address above, subject to legal retention requirements.
Any future data collection, account system, remote service or third-party SDK will require an updated policy and store privacy declaration before release.
Visiting this website
The public website is hosted by Cloudflare. The hosting provider processes technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and access time to deliver and protect the site, under its own privacy policy. This is separate from records kept inside the offline Huaqi app. This site adds no analytics or advertising scripts. A local browser preference remembers your language; clearing site data removes it. We do not copy your plant records to this website.
